The guide will help you set up beta app on your mobile device.
Before testing the app, make sure you have joined the beta testing program.
Provide Feedback
Your feedback is crucial to growth of Any Translator. If you encounter any bugs/issues or have any questions/suggestions, please report to the development team via in-app feedback feature or email to anytranslator@rootstudio.io.
iOS
On iOS, Any Translator uses TestFlight to distribute pre-release versions of the app to testers before publishing them on the App Store.
What is TestFlight?
TestFlight is Apple’s platform for distributing beta versions of iOS apps to external testers for testing and feedback purposes. It serves as a bridge between developers and testers, allowing developers to gather insights, identify bugs, and refine their apps before releasing them to a wider audience via the App Store.
How to Test using TestFlight

Install TestFlight
- Download the TestFlight app from the App Store
- Open TestFlight and sign in with your Apple ID

Accept Beta Invitation
- Click the beta invitation link you received via email or use the public link provided by the development team
- Tap "Accept" to join the beta program

Install the Beta App
- Open TestFlight
- Find the app in your list of available betas
- Tap "Install" or "Update" to get the latest beta version
Notes
- Beta versions may be less stable than App Store versions
- Your data may be reset between updates
- Beta apps expire after 90 days
- You can always revert to the App Store version by deleting the beta and downloading from the App Store
Android
On Android, Any Translator offers two beta testing options:
- Google Play Beta Testing Program (working in progress)
- Raw APK file
Google Play Beta Testing Program
Google Play Beta Testing is Google's platform for distributing beta versions of Android apps. It allows developers to:
- Test new features before public release
- Gather feedback from real users
- Identify and fix bugs
- Test app stability across different devices
- Manage both open and closed testing tracks
How to Join Beta Testing via Google Play

Join the Beta Program
- Click the beta testing link provided by the development team
- Or visit the app's Play Store page and scroll down to "Join the beta"
- Tap "Join" to become a beta tester

Install the Beta App
- Once accepted into the program, visit the app's Play Store page
- Tap "Install" or "Update" to get the beta version
- If you already have the app installed, it will automatically update to the beta version

Start Testing
- Launch the app after installation
- The beta version will be indicated with "Beta" badge in Play Store
- You'll receive beta updates automatically through Play Store
How to Join Beta Testing via Raw APK

Download the APK
- Download the APK file via the link provided by the development team

Install the APK
- Open the APK file and tap "Install"
- You may need to grant the app permission to install from unknown sources
- Delete existing app if new beta app is not compatible

Start Testing
- Launch the app after installation
- You'll receive beta updates automatically inside the app
Notes
- Beta versions may contain bugs or unstable features
- Your app data may be affected during testing
- You can leave the beta program at any time
- Leaving the beta will revert you to the public version on next update
- Some features may change or be removed before final release
